Lake Lanier Remodel

PROJECT:  Lake Lanier Exterior and Interior Remodel

LOCATION: Hall County

EXISTING CONDITION: Customer purchased a lake house for their family to enjoy; however, it was out-dated and not very comfortable.  A tree had also fallen through the rafters of the roof, which allowed water to enter the home.

CUSTOMER’S REQUEST:  The customer obviously wanted their home repaired, but they also wanted to make sure their house sat upon a strong foundation.  Therefore, they requested some work on their property to preserve the structural integrity of the home and they also wanted to convert the garage into a space that they could enjoy as a family.

PROCESS:  After receiving several bids, CRES was awarded the job to remove several trees from the property, recut and stabilize the right bank, level the backyard, install a new deck, install new rafters (decking) and matching shingles.  We were also commissioned to install new gutters, down spouts, and gutter covers, as well as erosion corrugated pipe that would pull water away from the home (prep, seed, fertilize and straw soil).

In the interior, the garage beam was 3-inches out of level, so we installed a new glue lam beam to support the roof load and converted the garage into a family room with hardwood floors and a new bathroom.  We also made a point to install new doors throughout the house with new hardware, while also remodeling the existing bathroom.  To finish things off, we gave the fire place a face lift, installed new windows and repainted the interior.

We finished on time and the customer was incredibly happy with the end result.
